Why Teslas specifically

Two things make a Tesla different from a generic PPF job. The paint is softer than most, so it marks more easily during washing and chips more readily on the freeway. And the panel gaps and sensor placement mean patterns have to be right, not close enough.

We plot patterns for the exact model and year rather than stretching a generic template, and we work around cameras, sensors and the charge port instead of over them.

What we cover on each model

Coverage choices are the same across the range, but what people pick differs by model.

• Model 3 and Model Y — full front is the volume seller. Hood, fenders, bumper, mirrors and headlights, plus door cups and door edges, which take a beating in car parks.
• Model S and Model X — more owners go full body, because the paint options are harder to match if a panel ever needs respraying.
• Cybertruck — the stainless panels are their own conversation. Film is used here for fingerprint and scuff resistance and for colour change rather than for chip protection in the usual sense.
• Every model — the rear loading lip, A-pillars and rocker panels are cheap to add during the main install.

Colour change on a Tesla

Tesla offers a short factory colour list, which is exactly why wrapped Teslas are everywhere. A colour-change vinyl wrap gives you satin, matte, gloss or colour-shift finishes the factory never sold, and it comes off cleanly when you sell or hand the lease back.
